AI-Powered Vehicle Driving Behavior Analytics Solution Unveiled

Helping Rental and Fleet Operators Detect Abnormal Vehicle Activity at a Glance

ENPLUG has strengthened its vehicle management capabilities by introducing a new AI-powered driving pattern analytics dashboard to its existing vehicle telematics platform, Entrak.

The newly introduced analytics dashboard was developed for rental car companies, fleet operators, and vehicle management businesses. Going beyond simple GPS tracking, the system is designed to comprehensively analyze vehicle driving patterns and detect abnormal behavior.

The dashboard provides intuitive insights into various vehicle activity indicators, including Signal Loss duration, state boundary exit alerts, changes in nighttime parking locations, Top 5 frequently visited areas, Pattern Anomaly Rate compared to normal driving behavior, and Power Cut events.

Unlike traditional GPS-based fleet management systems that primarily focus on location tracking, the new feature emphasizes detecting “behavioral anomalies” and unusual operational patterns. For example, the system can automatically identify and report cases where a vehicle remains parked for an extended period in an unfamiliar location, frequently changes its nighttime parking area, or experiences unusually long GPS signal interruptions.

This capability is expected to help operators reduce vehicle management risks by enabling faster detection of suspicious activities such as hidden vehicles after missed rental payments, unauthorized usage, prolonged inactivity, or irregular driving behavior.

ENPLUG has also integrated LLM (Large Language Model)-based AI analytics into the platform. Using accumulated driving data and event histories, the AI automatically summarizes vehicle conditions and abnormal behavior patterns, allowing managers to quickly identify key risk factors without manually analyzing complex datasets.

For instance, the AI can automatically generate natural-language reports highlighting insights such as “increased driving pattern mismatch compared to the past 30-day average,” “higher frequency of nighttime parking location changes,” or “repeated long-duration signal loss events.”

An ENPLUG representative stated, “Traditional vehicle telematics systems mainly focused on showing where a vehicle is located. Our new dashboard represents a significant evolution by helping operators understand why a vehicle’s behavior appears abnormal,” adding, “Moving forward, we plan to expand the platform with AI-based risk prediction capabilities as well as integrated services for the insurance, finance, and rental industries.”

Meanwhile, following the initial rollout, advanced AI analytics and certain enhanced features are expected to be offered through a subscription-based service model as the platform moves toward full commercialization.
