This project is part of LG Uplus’ strategy to build a Matter-based smart home ecosystem and aims to provide more stable and interoperable smart home services by combining next-generation Wi-Fi 7 wireless technology with the global IoT standard, Matter.

Based on this successful milestone, LG Uplus plans to expand cooperation with domestic smart home device manufacturers and platform providers, while accelerating advanced technical verification to ensure Matter compatibility across various household IoT devices in preparation for commercialization next year.

An LG Uplus representative stated, “Integrating Matter with Wi-Fi 7 APs will serve as a key technological foundation to improve the connectivity and interoperability of IoT devices,” adding, “We will continue to work with domestic partners to drive innovation in smart home services.”
