ENPLUG revealed that it has begun supplying its smart home device “Button Bot” to LG U+’s smart home brand.
Button Bot can be attached to existing light switches or home appliance buttons and controlled easily through a smartphone app or voice commands — without requiring a separate hub. It also integrates with Naver Clova and Google Home for voice control. Powered by three AAA batteries and connected via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, users can remotely turn appliances on or off, even while lying in bed or when away from home.
LG U+ currently provides Button Bot to U+ Smart Home package subscribers for 2,200 KRW per month (based on a 3-year subscription).
ENPLUG has supplied more than 3 million IoT modules based on LTE Cat.M1, NB-IoT, and Z-Wave, and has extensive development experience with smart home products including USB-type LTE routers and Z-Wave solutions.
From product design and hardware manufacturing to certification, ENPLUG led the entire development process and secured a stable supply chain in partnership with LG U+.
An industry official stated,
“This collaboration is a prime example of LG U+’s smart home platform competitiveness combined with ENPLUG’s hardware expertise. Through future cooperation on various smart home devices, we expect positive ripple effects across the domestic IoT industry.”
